Honor roll
Five years and counting.
In July 2011, Tulane President Scott Cowen received a letter from Robert Velasco II, acting CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service. In the letter, Velasco wrote: "Your institution plays a critical role in expanding the opportunity for citizens to serve; increasing the capacity of individuals, organizations and communities to become more effective; and demonstrating that service is a crucial tool for addressing the challenges that the nation faces."
With that letter, Tulane for the fifth consecutive year was named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll that celebrates exemplary commitment to service and volunteering in the nation's colleges and universities. |
